Welfare

We regularly hold Welfare brunches and lunches in the MCR at the weekend with all kinds of delicious food and drink including pastries, scones, crisps, cake, fruit, salmon, cheese, juice, tea, coffee and much more.  These give MCR members a chance to relax and catch up with others from around college (as well as there being free food!).

The Welfare Officers also have a number of other responsibilities. The MCR runs a Chocolate Fairy scheme whereby any member can nominate another to receive a chocolate bar in their pidge to help brighten their day. There is also a cupboard for sexual health supplies and sanitary products that can be used at times of need, as well as an emergency contraception scheme.

We want Corpus to be an open, friendly and welcoming place for everyone and so the well-being of our MCR members is very important to us. There is a large welfare team across the MCR, JCR, SCR and college staff who can make themselves available to help and support you during your time at the college. See the welfare guide (below or on WebLearn) for more details.

The welfare officers (and the rest of the committee) are always happy to help, so feel free to get in touch with us whether you simply want a cup of tea and a chat, or advice on accessing any of the support services available across the university.
